Biography: Shelia Hester-Friday MPA, GPC, is a strategist, grant specialist and publicist with extensive experience in organization and program development. She is one of only 17 credentialed grant professionals in the State of Illinois that holds the internationally recognized Grant Professional Certification (GPC). During her career she has secured, managed, and evaluated more than twenty-five million dollars in grant funding. Ms. Hester-Friday is the CEO of Relativity Resources LLC, a business development firm that provides a variety of growth strategies to education institutions, government agencies, small businesses, non-profit and faith-based organizations. They include strategic planning, grant writing, public relations, program development, organizational assessment, and evaluation activities. As a journalist, she has authored articles that appeared in the Chicago Tribune, South Suburban News, and ENews Park Forest. Her extensive professional career includes Grants and Public Relations Administrator at a public school district in Illinois, former adjunct professor at Governors State University, former Health Systems Specialist for the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, and Grants Manager for the State of Illinois.
