Arthur Geisert
Born: 1941 in Dallas, Texas
Pen Name: None Connection to Illinois: Arthur Geisert lived in Galena from 1971 through 2006. He was an Art teacher at Concordia College, River Forest, Illinois. Biography: Geisert is a printmaker and artist. He grew up in Los Angeles, California. Trained as a sculptor in college, Geisert learned to etch at the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles.His unique and exquisite etchings have been widely praised and exhibited at the Chicago Institute of Art, among other museums. His work has appeared in ''The New Yorker'', is regularly selected for the Society of Illustrators', annual Original Art exhibition, and his illustrations are now being collected by the Dubuque Museum of Art. He lives in a converted bank building in Bernard, Iowa.
