Connection to Illinois: I was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, but moved to Evanston, IL. 22 years ago. I have worked as a freelance journalist for the Chicago Tribune for 15 years writing new and feature stories. I have taken non credit fiction writing courses at Northwestern University and through other venues.

Biography: Brian is a fiction writer, freelance journalist and photographer. He is a spiritual seeker who writes about life, hope and twists of the imagination. His story, ''November Forgets'', was published in the 2003 anthology, 'Further Persons Imperfect' and he recently published his first collection of short fiction titled: ''Birthday Presence 16 Stories with One Thing in Common''. Brian is currently working on a novella.
