Biography: Jamie Gilson has worked as a junior high teacher in Des Plaines, Illinois and has been a writer, producer and actor for educational radio programs at the Chicago Public Schools station WBEZ. She also wrote commercials for fine arts radio station WFMT in Chicago and wrote films and film strips for Encyclopaedia Brittanica Films and was a columnist for Chicago magazine.
