Ira Glass
Born: 1959 in Baltimore, Maryland
Pen Name: None Connection to Illinois: Glass lives in Chicago. Biography: The author attended Northwestern University for a time and then returned to Chicago where he co-hosted with NPR producer Gary Covino a radio program called 'The Wild Room' on WBEZ Chicago Public Radio. In 1995, he became host and producer of the award-winning ''This American Life'' program which is syndicated nationally by Public Radio International.
