Biography: Chris McDonald received his undergraduate degree in international relations and strategic studies from Lancaster University in the United Kingdom. He received his masters and doctoral degrees in political science from the University of Georgia. He shares his interest in World War I and educates others through a variety of activities. In 2007, he built a World War I trench on the Lincoln Land Community College campus, plus hosted a World War I consortium featuring experts on the war. In conjunction with the trench, he designed a ''Trunk From the Attic'' of war artifacts that is used for teaching in middle and high school classrooms. He has led three study abroad trips to World War I battlefield sites. He continues to research and also participates in community lectures and discussion boards about the war.
