She also taught at DePaul University School for New Learning. Biography: Cross is an American poet and writer. Her poems and creative nonfiction have appeared in various publications, including: ''Hotel Amerika'', ''Other Voices'', ''American Poetry Review'', ''Ohio Review'', ''Crazyhorse'', ''Southern Poetry Review'', ''The Sun'' as well as aired on Chicago's local public radio station WBEZ's ''Chicago Matters Series'' and ''Eight Forty-Eight''.
