Biography: Marion Ray served in the US Army in World War II in Europe and in the Korean War. HE was a prisoner of war at several camps in Germany from December 1944 to spring 1945. He earned several medals during his World War II service, including a Combat Infantry Badge, Bronze Star, Purple Heart and Prisoner of War Medal. He was in the Illinois National Guard and Army Reserves from July 1950 to April 193, retiring as a lieutenant colonel. He worked for 20 years for Ralph C. Coxhead Corporation, Addressograph-Multigraph Corporation and CalComp Corporation in sales and sales management. Some of his clients included the Executive Offices of the President, State Department, Agriculture Department, Labor Department and US Air Force. Ray retired and moved back to Bethalto, Illinois in August 1997.
