Juanita Havill

Pen Name: None Connection to Illinois: Havill was raised in Mt. Carmel, Illinois and graduated from the University of Illinois. Biography: Havill is a children's picture book author best known for her Jamaica books. She was born in Evansville, Indiana and raised in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. She attended Université de Rouen, 1969-70 and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she graduated with her B.A. in 1971 and M.A. in 1973. She currently resides in Arizona.
