The Bakery 1989

In this true account, Rick Baker is a newspaperman assigned to write an obituary for an elderly woman from a nursing home. He discovers that the woman has no past - not even a real name. She has been in mental institutions and nursing homes as far back as her records go - and there are precious few records. Baker takes it on himself to trace her life backward and discover her identity. Along the way he finds the brother of a girl who went missing 50 years earlier. Working forward from the day the young woman disappeared and backward from the day the old woman died, Baker tries to prove, or disprove, that the two women are one and the same.
