Biography: Christa Desir writes under the pen name of C. Desir. She is an author of contemporary fiction for young adults, is an editor and a podcaster. She has volunteered as a rape victim activist for more than ten years, including providing direct service as an advocate in hospital Emergency Rooms. She is also a founding member of the ''Voices and Faces Project'', a nonprofit organization for rape survivors that conducts an international survivor-based testimonial writing workshop.
