Janet Riehecky is a full-time freelance writer for children, having published more than ninety books of both fiction and non-fiction. Her works range from preschool picture books to junior high social history and biography. Riehecky has a BA in English education from Illinois Wesleyan Univeristy, an MA in Communication from Illinois State University and an MA in English Literature from Northwestern Illinois University. She has also been a teacher and an editor.
