Connection to Illinois: Frank Palmasani, founder of managingcollegecost. com, began learning about the financial aid process in 1976, his first year as a high school counselor. In 1981 he moved to the College level eventually becoming a Director of Admissions. After a twelve year stint he returned to the high school arena to a position which he continues to enjoy today, serving as a Guidance Counselor. In 1985, Palmasani began delivering seminars on the College Financial Aid and Planning Process. He estimates in those years, he has delivered seminars to over 100,000 people.

Biography: As a College Admissions Director, Frank Palmasani began delivering seminars to parents at Chicago area high schools in 1985 about the College Financial Aid and Planning process. Since that year, he continually speaks at 40 to 50 high schools each year helping families manage their college costs without excessive debt.
