Connection to Illinois: Herr was born and raised in Springfield. She lives still there today.

Biography: Herr is a mother, gandmother and great-grandmother. Now that she is retired, she has more time to write. As an avid animal lover, dogs being at the top of the list, an adventure story starring her dog Fritz, seemed like a perfect fit. She has been published previously but is excited to say that her book about Fritz, the donut-tailed dog, is her first book.
