Pen Name: Julie Jensen McDonald Connection to Illinois: McDonald worked for the Rockford Register-Republic and now writes for the Moline Dispatch and the Rock Island Argus. Biography: McDonald grew up in Harlan, Iowa. She has published 30 books, including eleven novels. Two of her more recent novels, also are concerned with her Danish heritage. She is also the author of 'Delectably Danish,' a cookbook features Danish recipes and a short history of Denmark and Danish sites in America.
