Junior High at age seventy-five / ISBN: 1448993172 OCLC: 619162892 PublishAmerica, Baltimore, Md : ©2010. A humorous comparison of what it was like to be a senior citizen volunteer in sixth, seventh, and eighth grade classes of a modern-day junior high school. The only similarities between the 1940's and today is the dedication of the teachers and of course the students who get caught doing something wrong. Dogs are still eating homework, and with a contrived look of innocence they still ask, "What did I do?" A major difference, hosever, is the advanced curriculum; every student is computer knowledgeable, the use of calculators and the ISAT demands on the student. I found the experience to be informative and enlightening. I truly believe that our future is in good hands. |
