Connection to Illinois: The author lives on the North Shore and is editor of RHINO poetry magazine based in Evanston.

Biography: Rosen is a poet, editor of RHINO, an award-winning poetry journal and serves on the Board of the UniVerse of Poetry. She holds a B.A. from Wellesley College, a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and is working on a Doctorate in listening and learning as she travels to many countries throughout the world. She was an editor with Miriam Ben-Yoseph on: ''Where We Find Ourselves: Jewish Women around the World Write about Home''; has published text for the history book, ''A Proud Nation''; and poems in the following journals: ''The Journal at Northwestern University''; ''Third Coast'' ; ''Where We Live, Illinois Poets''; ''The Spoon River Poetry Review''; and many others. She also teaches poetry in the public schools through a program called ''Kids Meet Art''.
