Connection to Illinois: RM was born and raised in Chicago. After graduating from Morgan Park High School in 1986, he enlisted in the United States Army as a radiologic technologist. He spent time stateside and abroad. After an honorable discharge, he started school at Columbia College in Chicago as a film major.

Biography: RM started his career in the arts as a young scetch artist. RM attended a total of four undergraduate schools and graduated after four years from University of Louisiana with a Bachelor of Science degree in Radiologic Science. While in college, he had written plays, one of which became the basis for his first novel, The Harris Men, which was published in 1999 by Simon & Schuster. RM published a series of books after that. In 2004, RM enrolled in Chicago State University to pursue a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing, which he earned in 2006. He is currently searching for talented writers to publish under his small publishing company, and putting the finishing touches on the much anticipated sequel in The Million Dollar saga, Deceit & Devotion.
