Connection to Illinois: Jacob was born and raised around Emington, Illinois and lived in Monmouth and Normal, Illinois while he attended college at Monmouth College and Illinois State University. He also lived in Shorewood, Edwardsville and Lincoln, Illinois. He currently lives in Bloomington, Illinois.

Biography: Born in Emington, Illinois in 1982, he became interested in writing and reading in junior high, but really, writing became a passion of his in high school when he enrolled in his Senior year AP English class. He was pushed to be creative, and realized that he wanted to continue to express himself through word and, decided to continue his writing education at Illinois State University in which he received his Bachelors degree in English in 2007.Currently, his focus has been on poetry. He is also interested in Fantasy and Science Fiction and look forward to publishing a novel some time in the future.
