Paul Klostermann

Born:
Connection to Illinois: Klostermann lives in Breese.

Biography: An accountant by day and novelist by night, Paul has many interests and hobbies. Sprinkled throughout his writing, these interests become evident as a reader might see references to the St. Louis Cardinals, history, philosophy, musical theatre, and whiskey. While not a comprehensive list of Paul's interests, the aforementioned is a strong starter kit. When not working as an accountant or novelist, Paul dutifully serves as husband to Jill and father to Reagan and Lincoln. Paul and Jill have been paired for the majority of their lives, navigating as a team through any challenges the universe might throw their direction. Together, they enjoy travel, especially to Disney World, and watching their children discover their own interests. As Reagan and Lincoln grow up, Paul and Jill find themselves watching copious amounts of volleyball, basketball, baseball, and musical performances. They enjoy every moment of it and look forward to what the future might hold. Thus far, Paul has written two novels within the Universe of Silver Hills. He intends to complete three more stories within the Universe over the next number of years while away from his accounting desk, the kids' gymnasium, or the local theatre stage.

Just another normal mid November morning for Darwin Davidson. He, along with his closest companion Greta, jogged up the inclined road, passing the clock tower, the bakery, and the many other sights, sounds, and smells of Silver Hills. His 34th birthday was just around the corner. The steam from his breath accelerated as he turned around and began descending towards his home near the bottom of the lone hill in the awkwardly named town of Silver Hills. A car caught his eye. It was a car he was certain he had seen before. This time, he found an old man asleep in the vehicle. How long had he been there? Who was he waiting for? The old man in the car at the bottom of the hill would only be the beginning of Darwin Davidson’s most abnormal of birthdays. Darwin was going to learn that his destiny and purpose were not waiting for him, they had already been placed inside him long ago. Life in Freemandia would never be the same.
