Illinois Connection

After completing a Master's degree in library Science in Arizona, I accepted a job with the University of Illinois Chicago library. I ended up as a medical librarian, working at MacNeal (Berwyn), Northwest Community (Arlington Heights), West Suburban (Oak Park), and finally Central DuPage (Winfield) Hospitals - all told, over 30 years in the Chicago area.

Biographical and Professional Information

My short fiction has appeared in multiple literary journals, including Zahir Tales, Bellevue Literary Review, Potomac Review, New Plains Review, and others. Minerva Rising Press published my historical novel, Pilgrim as winner of their 2016 novella contest. WordRunner Press issued an eChapbook of seven short stories, Protected Contact and Other Stories, in 2017. Meadowlark Books will be releasing my youth novel, Opulence, Kansas, in 2020, about a Chicago teenager exported to the prairie in the aftermath of her wealthy father's suicide.
