Connection to Illinois: Apicelli moved to Chicago when she was ten years old and lived in Rogers Park. It was the mid-fifties and the neighborhood was great with good schools and transportation. Her family lived two blocks from the lake. She graduated from Gale grammar school Sullivan high school. She moved around after graduation, but lived in Chicago from the end of 1967 through the 1968 Democratic Convention in August. She moved to California and lived there for seven years, graduating from college with a BA in Business Management. She has lived in Chicago since 1975 interrupted from 1979-81 by a stay in Omak, Washington. She was married in Chicago in June, 2001. She loves it there and plans to stay during retirement.

Biography: Toni Apicelli true passion was always writing. She self-published his first book in 2010--A Sixties Story--the story of how he went from being a popular high school cheerleader to being part of the counterculture of the sixties and seventies in the U.S. My day jobs were in direct marketing management, as an executive assistant and as a proofreader.
