Kim Strickland is a pilot for a major airline and the author of two novels, ''Wish Club'' and ''Down at the Golden Coin''. She also writes the blog ''A City Mom''. Kim received a B.S in Journalism with an English minor from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she obtained her pilot training at the University of Illinois' Institute of Aviation, as well.
