Linda Curtis

Born: 1939 in Crandon, Wisconsin
Pen Name: Lindaeus

Connection to Illinois: I've enjoyed living in northeast Illinois for more than 40 years. My study of Carex was in the State Parks and Lake County and nearby county Forest preserves. The beautiful intricate world around us is more than any one lifetime could study or enjoy. I also write Carex Corner for the Illinois Native Plant Society under the pseudonym Lindaeus. I also write scientific articles for ''Erigenia'', ''Journal of the Illinois Native Plant Society'', and ''Palmetto, Journal of Florida Native Plant Society''.

Biography: Linda Curtis is a botanist. She has a BS in education from the Wisconsin State College and a MS in Botany from the University of Wisconsin. She has taught at Lake Forest College, Barat College, McHenry Community College and College of Lake County. She has been a botany consultant and wetland delineator for environmental engineering firms in the Midwest.
