Biographical and Professional Information

Susan began her writing career as a journalist for newspapers and magazines nationwide. A persistent need to express herself creatively led her to start writing poetry in mid-life. Her work, which has won many awards, has been published in a variety of literary magazines and poetry anthologies. She is the author of five poetry collections: ''I Am the Pool's Perimeter'', ''Reflecting Pool'', ''Breaking Into the Safe of Life'', ''Sonata in the Key of Being'', and ''Hole to Whole''. Susan is now setting her poetry to music she writes herself. Other composers have also created songs from her poems.
