Gene McCormick

Born: in Sidney, Ohio
Pen Name: None

Connection to Illinois: Born in Ohio, I moved to Illinois briefly in the 1960s, living in Round Lake while working in Libertyville at Lake Publishing. I moved back back to Ohio in 1968, and back to Illinois for good in 1979, living--in order--in Schaumburg, Chicago, Naperville and Wayne.

Biography: My entire business career has been spent in publishing: first the newspaper industry, then industrial and consumer magazines. I sold my publishing company, McCormick Communications Group, in 1999 and have since concentrated fulltime on writing, having had twelve books--a combination of non-fiction, fiction and poetry--published during the past ten years or so.
