Biographical and Professional Information

Pierce has written four books in the American Dog series -- tales of working and rescued dogs for children 5-10 years old. Along with his gentle rescued racer (Honey), Craig travels to schools, libraries, bookstores and other gatherings to conduct programs for young learners and families.


A Greyhound's Tale and A Labrador's Tale were selected as Top 10 Pet Books for Kids in a nationally syndicated Tribune Media Services column. A Labrador's Tale 2 was named a 2007 Best Children's Book Finalist by the Dog Writers Association of America.
