Connection to Illinois: Muhammad is a native of Chicago and grew up in Sherwood Park in Chicago, Illinois. She received her BA from Governors State University and is currently is on the Women's Track and Field Coaching Staff at Chicago State University.

Biography: Muhammad is a two-time Olympian in track and field and my book is entitled, ''True To Me - an Olympian's Victory Over Steroids''.
