Biographical and Professional InformationA native of Chicago, IL, Kesha was born on January 12, 1975, to Ray and Valerie Harrell. In 1980 her family moved to Galesburg, IL, where she discovered her love for writing in the third grade. She participated in the Young Authors writing contest and submitted a short story titled The Case of the Missing Coin, which earned her third place.Kesha's family moved to Bloomington, IL in 1983. From 1989 - 1993 she attended Normal Community High School where she was Co-Editor for the school newspaper. Kesha had many articles published, and earned a Blue Ribbon Award for her Editorial writing. She went on to attend a junior college to pursue a career in Journalism. After completing her first year, she placed her education on hold to marry and start a family. In 1995 Kesha returned to school part time and held a variety of interesting jobs. In 2001 she was hired at a Fortune 500 Insurance Company and once again put her education on hold. Determined to finish what she started, she returned to school in 2006 and simultaneously balanced working and going to school full-time. In 2008 she graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor's of Science in Business Management. Kesha spends her spare time on her true passion, writing fiction. She is a talented writer and has a unique ability to take a fraction of truth and put a realistic, yet fictional twist to her story that leaves her readers wondering what's real and what's not. She develops her characters in a way that will have you loving them one minute and hating them the next. Her books are guaranteed to capture your attention from the very start, all the way through to the end.
