Amid prejudice, hope, and change, love and hate turn the lives of the residents upside-down in rural, 1950s Mississippi. Ed H. Smith, a Chicago City Alderman and a native of Mississippi, reveals the hearts and minds of men and women, Black and White, in this compellling story of desire and racial discrimination of several Southern families at the time equality was stirring progress in the United States.
