Biography: Linda Sommer Farley - One of the most beautiful aspects of life is the relationship and love between a mother and child. To go through life without a mother's love can be very difficult. An abusive grandfather and mother were traumatic parts of my life. At a very young age I had the responsibility of raising my younger brother and sister when no one was home. Being poor I was faced with many challenges during and beyond my school years due to poverty. In my book - A Childhood Taken Away by a Mother and Grandfather - I describe the difficulties and accomplishments that I have experienced in the painful and sometimes humorous segments of my life. I wrote this book with the purest of intentions - to in some way help others. I'm a great grandmother and I continue to write about my life experiences. 'Never think that it is too late to accomplish something that is important to you. Be true to yourself.'
