Connection to Illinois: Sullivan was born in Chicago. He grew up mostly in Oak Park and graduated from Oak Park and River Forest High School (same as Ernest Hemingway!) in 1968. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago (Circle) in 1973 with a BA in history and currently lives in the North Center neighborhood of Chicago.

Biography: Floyd Sullivan worked in advertising and marketing most of his career, which included copywriting, design, PR, and product description, plus submissions to trade journals. In his free time he has written novels, screenplays, short stories and non-fiction pieces. He currently blogs at [http://www.chicagonow.com/waiting-4-cubs/ http://www.chicagonow.com/waiting-4-cubs/]. Sullivan's published books include ''Waiting for the Cubs'' (a Cub fan memoir), ''Old Comiskey Park'' (editor), and most recently ''Called Out: A novel of base ball and America in 1908''. The novel is set in multiple American cities with many key scenes taking place in Chicago, and one scene in Springfield, Illinois. The Chicago Cubs are featured prominently in the story.
