She attended Louis Pasteur Elementary School, then Whitney Young Hish School and also Robert Morris College downtown. Due to her background and the content of her books, they are mostly based on the streets and expressways of Chicago, as well as the behavior that is displayed on the news from the local residents in the impoverished communities.

Biography: Dominique Wilkins is a licensed cosmetologist, the founder of CAPS (Chicagoland Authors Promoting Success) as well as the Indiana chapter president for Authors Promoting Success. Dominique writes short stories in the Urban Christian Fiction genre that people who are currently or have been hurt can relate to. She was born and raised on the South side of Chicago, where the crime and murder rate ranks the highest in the U.S.It is because of this exposure, that she writes to encourage readers and provide them with resources to keep them going and a desire to do better.
