Biographical and Professional InformationKen Gilbert is a poet whose poem "Splash" is a Pushcart nominee. Ken has been writing poetry for 40 years and his work has been published in numerous small magazines and journals. He teaches English composition and literature at John A. Logan and Shawnee community colleges, and also teaches poetry workshops for Heartland Writers Guild, as well as SIWG. He has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize in 2006 and 2007. Ken uses the name of his grandfather as his 'pen' name.
