Biography: Eunice Redeker Hausler is a gifted writer with more the 47 years of experience as an educator, Ms. Hausler has found success as a published author. During her tenure in education, she ambitiously opened Lutheran schools in Levittown, Pennsylvania, and Lincoln, Illinois, teaching students in first through eighth grade in both places. She also served as the principal of a Lutheran school in Hoffman, Illinois. Additionally, she taught English and social studies at a high school in Papua New Guinea, for 13 years. Moreover, she spent three summers in China teaching English as a foreign language. Prior to embarking on her professional career, Ms. Hausler earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Concordia Teachers College. A woman of great spiritual depth, she attributes her success to her deep faith and for two summers, while in Levittown, she attended Temple University in Philadelphia, getting courses in school administration. During her time in Papua, New Guinea, she was inspired by her pastor, who regularly encouraged her and gave her a book of devotions that he had written. The most rewarding aspect of Ms. Hausler’s prodigious career as an educator was to see the young residents of Papau New Guinea learn English, graduate high school and move on to become doctors, nurses and businesspeople, among other professions. Devoted to her community, she currently leads Sunday school and bible classes at St John’s Lutheran Church.
