Rickert spent the first 17 years of his life in Renault, a small farming community in Monroe County.


Biographical and Professional Information

Andrew J. Rickert is a retired Federal employee and a Marine Corps veteran. A past President of the Charles County Nursing Home Board of Trustees, he is a member of the American Legion and the National Association of Active and Retired Federal Employees. He currently resides in Mechanicsville, Maryland.

Making his way amid the tumult of his sister's affliction with dementia, Rickert decided to capture his experience in writing and to share them with others who face similar circumstances in their own lives. This resulted in his first published book titled Tomorrow: A Memoir of Love, Family, and Dealing with Dementia. It is his first published book. He is finishing his second book titled, A Marine from Renault.
