Biography: Leo Sheridan Anderson was an editor, author and publisher. He was born and raised in International Falls, Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a journalism degree in 1950. After graduating from college, Anderson worked as a newsman with UPI in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and in 1953 was promoted to the bureau manager and moved to Marion, Illinois. In 1955, he moved on to editing with different companies including Industrial Marketing Magazine in Chicago, Office Appliances Magazine in Elmhurst, Illinois and Telephony Magazine. He become the Executive vice president of publication for Telephony Publication Corporation in Chicago in 1981. Anderson branched out on his own and started Leo Sheridan Anderson Consulting in 1988 and started freelance writing in 1991. A canoeing enthusiast, his book, ''Down the Mississippi'', is a reflective journey of the three and a half month canoe trip he took down the length of the Mississippi River in 1990 at the age of 65.
