Connection to Illinois: I was born in Elgin, IL and raised in Cary, IL. I attended Cary-Grove highschool, McHenry County College and got my Bachelors degree at Columbia College Chicago. I currently live in McHenry. My first novel has portions take place in Crystal Lake and Woodstock during the 1930's.

Biography: Unable to recall a time when he wasn t writing or drawing, Ryan earned a degree from Columbia College Chicago in both subjects to evolve his art addictions into a career. When not working as a graphic designer in the Chicago suburbs, Ryan spends his time immersed in books, comics, movies, or hunched over his laptop writing.
