Sue created most of the book's illustrations between commissions over the past few years. Jennifer wroter the sentiments to her children. The book's publisher brought the two works together, and drawings and thoughts matched perfectly. Sue's other books include Sarah the Best Bridesmaid and several collections of sticker paper dolls.
Sue is a freelance artist and illustrator, she paints portraits of children and creates beautiful prints for different occasions. The Illnois State Library has commissioned Sue to create art for the annual Family Reading Night Celebration.
