Robert Zemeckis is a director, screenwriter, producer, and editor. He received an Academy Award nomination (with Robert Gale), for best original screenplay, 1986, for Back to the Future; A Golden Globe Award, best director, Academy Award, best director, and NATO/ShoWest's Director of the Year Award, all 1995, all for Forrest Gump. In 2004 he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
