Illinois Connection

I was born in Michigan but since infancy have lived in Illinois, first in Elwood then Batavia. Educated in Batavia then at Michigan State University I received my medical degree at the University of Illnois College of Medicine. My book is a historical account of the first settler of Kane County Illinois, Batavia, and Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. He was Christopher Payne an early pioneer and Indian fighter, who died a broken old man in Wisconsin where he is burried.
