Biographical and Professional Information
Pattie Thomas has worked in the entertainment industry for more than fourteen years in theatre, radio, film, and television. She helped the movement of arts and culture in Chicago by using her expertise, love for the arts, and mentoring individuals. After her first degree in Speech and Broadcasting, she worked at CBS WBBM Radio as an assistant producer. Pattie holds a master's degree in Media & Business Management as well. She currently lives in Illinois with her two children and granddaughter.
Thomas is the author of Other People Issues has hit a new standard in helping people to overcome making the same sad decisions and implement new methods to satisfy one self. She allows you to see people in different ways by alleviating negativity in real life changing attitudes for today’s chaotic and short lived relationships.
It all started with her dad and mom (Charlie & Bertha) who gave her the spirit of hard work and when you start something then you had to finish it. This pattern is still present in her everyday life. She grew up in Chicago, Illinois with her brother, many cousins, and many friends. One thing about living in the city and having parents from Mississippi and Alabama, they always were kept busy being active in family first, sports, and recreational activities. She always had a knack of being very creative and using her ingenuity. During her high school years, her artistic talents shone brightly as she loved to sew all her own clothes and participates in fashion shows with HER original designs and gained many friends as other designers and models as well. Her Mom and Dad always were very supportive of her endeavors because she did have talent.
After high school, Pattie worked at the postal service for seven years and found that that was not the place where she wanted to retire and enrolled for the second time in college only this time she was really serious and embarked in broadcasting as a discipline. It fared well and she was hired at WBBM CBS Radio and her career was on a steady target. She has had other businesses as an entrepreneur and gained her master’s degree in Arts, Entertainment & Media Management.
Pattie had an English professor told her to never stop writing because he felt she was good at it and she needed to proclaim herself in that arena. Over the years, she has written proposals, magazine articles, wrote for corporate America, finally taking her English instructor’s words sincerely… to write. Although she loves to write, she is also a people person.
