Biographical and Professional Information
Lloyd Kropp is an American novelist, musician, composer, and educator. He is known for his novels. Kropp was educated at the University of Pittsbugh and ohio State University. He has been on the faculty at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, since 1975. There, he joined the English faculty where he taught until he retired as a senior professor in 2002. His formal academic specialty was in Literary Theory. During his years teaching at SIUE he won a Distinguished Performance Award from the School of Humanities and was twice nominated for the Distinguished Teaching Award. Kropp's interests include archaeology, astronomy and ancient history.
