Lisa was born in Moline, Illinois, and lived in the Quad Cities until the age of four when her father, an executive with International Harvester Co., was transferred to Canton, a small central Illinois town. She now runs her company, The Lisa Company, from Evanston, Illinois.

Lisa Holton is an independent writer, editor and producer. A former Chicago Sun-Times Business Editor and reporter, Lisa formed The Lisa Company in 1998 to create audience-specific and easy-to-understand content for publications, institutions and universities.
