Biographical and Professional Information

Uncertain about what to do with his life after finishing junior college in 1959, John O'Brien answered a help-wanted ad for a newspaper reporter. In 2003 Mr. O'Brien was honored as one of the city's journalism greats by the Chicago Press Veterans Association, which named him Press Veteran of the Year.
