Jerry Jenkins attended colleges in Chicago Illinois. He worked at WMBI-FM Radio in Chicago from 1967-1968. He then worked for the Des Paines Publishing company in Des Plaines, Illinois. He went on the becoming the Managing Editor of the Moody Monthly magazine and then its director.
