Biographical and Professional Information

After being a student and political cartoonist at Antioch College in the early 1980s, Berman’s cartoons surfaced on Telegraph Avenue, in Berkeley, CA, where she was a street vendor. She then moved back to her hometown of Chicago. For two years she was a graphic designer for Flying Fish Records, and after that, she decided it was time to take the plunge and enter the exhilirating and terrifying world of self-employment.

Her sydicated cartoon panel, Berman, appears in numerous newseeklies, magazines and newspapers including the Chicago Reader and the Chicago Times. Jennifer currently lives in Southwestern Ohio.
