Fields was born in Chicago and was raised in Highland Park. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in creative writing and painting from The University of Illinois.

Biographical and Professional Information

Jennie Fields received an MFA in creative writing from the University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop and is the author of four novels. An Illinois native, she spent 25 years as an advertising creative director in New York and currently lives in Nashville, Tennessee.
