Helen Lester was born in Evanston and spent several years here teaching elementary school.

Helen Lester had been an elementary school teacher since 1959.She taught at Francis W. Parker School, Chicago, IL, from 1962-1969; and again from 1989-1982. Helen also taught in Lexington, Md., and in San Francisco, Ca. She now is retired and living in Pawling New York.
