Wilkins was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago,IL, in the West Englewood neighborhood. She attended Louis Pasteur Elementary School, then Whitney Young Hish School and also Robert Morris College downtown. Biographical and Professional Information

Dominique Wilkins is a licensed cosmetologist, the founder of CAPS (Chicagoland Authors Promoting Success) as well as the Indiana chapter president for Authors Promoting Success. Dominique writes short stories in the Urban Christian Fiction genre that people who are currently or have been hurt can relate to. She was born and raised on the South side of Chicago, where the crime and murder rate ranks the highest in the U.S.

It is because of this exposure, that she writes to encourage readers and provide them with resources to keep them going and a desire to do better. Take a walk in the shoes of bad parents, jealous neighbors, backstabbing friends and cheaters to name a few.

Dominique is transferring years of emotional support from the beauty salon to the books. The stories are written with biblical scriptures intermingled for the reader to reference or research for more healing directly from The Bible.

They are capable of being enjoyed by all.You do not need any prior knowledge or understanding of The Bible to enjoy it. If you are not ready to embrace the included scriptures, the stories can still be enjoyed without reading them (choose your own adventure)!

As of today, ALL of her titles have received a 4 or 5 star review from readers of all walks of life. The 5 Star titles reviewed by Reader's Favorite come with a seal of excellence affixed to the paperback's cover. This year, in 2014, she was featured at Barnes & Noble's "Afternoon with the author" program (carries books on shelf) as well as a featured appearance at "Better World Books" and "Mummphy's Book Nook" (carries books on shelf) to name a few. The books are not just GOOD books, but they are the up and coming, must-have collectibles for readers!
